The Hilton Winnipeg Airport Suites (1800 Wellington Avenue)
The annual event will take place in the ballroom at the Hilton Winnipeg Airport Suites. We have capacity for up to 100 members at the event and we can support an unlimited amount of number online, as this will be a hybrid event. Check-in will occur in the Hilton lobby starting at 8:30a.m. and the event will run from 9:00a.m. to 4:30p.m. with lunch provided for all registered members.

Members at Large: please note attendance is voluntary, members are welcome to register for the special zoom link which will be moderated during the event and allow you to vote on formal proceedings the day of May 8th. General members are not endorsed to make reimbursement claims to the RTAM office. Chapter President's will have a formal invitation sent to them from the RTAM Board of Directors, which describes parameters for claims in 2024.

All documents will be shared here for the Annual General Meeting. Copies will also be shared to those who register via direct email to the account on file for the event. Notice of documents goes out between 31 and 50 days with our Organization, for 2024 that would be as early as March 20th and as late as April 7th. We are hoping to have all documents online and accessible to registrants before the end of March.

- NEW - IMPORTANT: Update to timeline and Board of Directors application process. New Director applications will be shared here two weeks ahead of the AGM and as they come in up until May 6th.
- Should the Bylaw changes pass, then the elections procedure will be changed.
- A motion will be put forward at the AGM suspending portions of the new elections rules (much Section 6.01, the nomination procedure), but the new election procedure laid out in Section 6.02 will apply.
- Members are encouraged to submit nominations ahead of the AGM in anticipation of the changes, but the deadline for nominations outlined at 6.01(c) of the new procedure will be suspended by the motion to allow for nominations to be received up to the day before the AGM.

- Bylaw Updates: There are two documents for review. The first document shows all changes, updates and commentary related to the proposed updates. This document must be downloaded and viewed with Word to see all applicable changes and notes (it may work with some Apple products). The second document has the same wording, but is cleaner and has all tracked changes removed.

As part of our New Horizon for Seniors Grant, we allocated some funds for a research study to help us determine the effectiveness of our program. We recently were matched with a U of M Masters student to be our researcher. Andrew Augustyn is very excited to do this research as he is interested in the theme of mentoring for his M.Ed. thesis. RTAM has sent out letters of invitation to hold interviews on his behalf to those who have signed up for the program. He will be doing two interviews this fall as part of his Qualitative Research Course and then completing our research with eight more interviews in February in order to meet our Grant Report requirements due in March.
