4. Minutes of Previous Meeting
    The minutes of the October 18, 2011 meeting had been posted on the
    web page and were circulated.

5. President’s Report
Vel asked for comments on issues of concern.
a)   Don M. spoke on the local Braun Development project. A meeting about
      this project will be attended by several members on Jan 18.
b)   The RTAM President may be invited to attend the Spring meeting.

6. Secretary-Treasurer’s Report
   Elaine reported on the Chapter’s bank balance at Jan 1, 2012: $204.92
   (plus the $5.00 membership in Westoba Credit Union).

7. ACER-CART
   Vaughn reported on proposed changes to the ACER-CART executive and regions as a result of the withdrawal of AREQ, a large Quebec retired teachers association. It is now proposed to reduce to 3 (from 4) the number of Regions and Regional Representatives on the executive. It is also proposed to allow the VP to be elected from among all attendees at the AGM. He noted the recent changes to the Canada Pension Plan that affect retired teachers who are employed, and he announced a BCRTA report on volunteerism among BC retired teachers. The latter two items available are on the ACER-CART website.

8. RTAM AGM
    The AGM will be held in Winnipeg in May, and in Dauphin the following year. Some concerns were expressed re the "silence" from RTAM and the loss of the RTAM Treasurer due to illness.

9. Other Issues
    Diane Kelly distributed free 2012 calendars produced by the Manitoba
    Museums Association. Vaughn noted that his great-grandparents and
    grandparents were in the first photo (circa 1913).

10. Next Meeting
     The next luncheon meeting would be in April, 2012. Date and location
     to be determined.

11. Felllowship
     Following the business meeting and lunch, conversation was enjoyed.
